  • A renowned construction services company and a leading builder working in the Pharmaceutical, commercial, residential and retail sectors across Ireland.
 
The Role
  • You will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget, on time, and to the highest standards.
  • The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, monitoring project budgets, managing variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • You will liaise closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
 
The Requirements 
  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
  • Ideally 5+ years’ Commercial experience working for a main contractor with detailed building & fitout knowledge and experience with various types of contract forms
 
You Must also
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent understanding of project financials and the ability to manage budgets, costs, and financial risks effectively.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication and client satisfaction.
  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Extensive understanding of the civil engineering and infrastructure industry, including best practices and emerging trends.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data, resolve issues, and make well-informed decisions.
  • Talent for multitasking, prioritising work effectively, and adapting to changing project requirements.
  • Strong negotiation abilities to secure favourable terms with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
