We are hiring for a leading construction contractor for a Senior EHS Officer to be based around Cork Region.
Role & Responsibilities - Assist in the implementation of the Company’s Environmental, Health & Safety Statement and associated policies
- Conducting regular Site Environmental H&S inspections
- Ensuring that records of statutory inspections and records are kept up to date for site activities, fleet, plant & equipment
- Delivering and completing statutory notifications to the Health & Safety Authority for the project and all incident / accident reporting
- Deliver Site Safety inductions and Tool Box Talks for employees or contractors on site, as required
- Ensuring appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is available for employees
- Assisting the EHS Management in compiling cost records and forecasts for all issues associated with Health & Safety including, but not limited to, contra charges, training, purchases, accidents etc…
- Assisting in the preparation for annual external audits
- Attending internal and external Environmental Health & Safety Meetings
- Ensuring Sub-contractor Safety Statement's and required RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) are available on site, up to date and assess / review same, as required
- Assisting Site Management in drafting and communicating RAMS
- Coordinate, compile and issue Health and Safety Plans
What you need: - Relevant H&S qualification
- Minimum 4 years related Construction experience
- Excellent Communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Strong IT Skills, able to use Excel, Word
- Committed to further H&S study/courses, if required
- Full, clean driving licence
OtherRole will involve office based work and regular site visits
3-4 days on sites 1-2 days in head office
