Purpose of the Role:
To support the HSQE team in ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations and standards. The Safety Officer will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSQE policies, procedures, and programs to promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Health and Safety:
Assist in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
Support the implementation of health and safety management systems.
Participate in accident and incident investigations, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up actions.
Provide support in the development and delivery of health and safety training programs.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and EU health and safety legislation.
Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics.
Quality Assurance:
Assist in maintaining and improving the quality management system (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
Support quality audits and inspections.
Help in the documentation and investigation of non-conformities and implementation of corrective actions.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality.
Environmental Management:
Support the implementation and maintenance of environmental management systems (EMS) in line with ISO 14001 standards.
Assist in conducting environmental impact assessments and audits.
Help in managing waste disposal and recycling programs.
Monitor environmental performance and report on key indicators.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of HSQE activities, incidents, inspections, and audits.
Prepare and present reports on HSQE performance to senior management.
Assist in the development and review of HSQE policies, procedures, and documentation.
Communication and Training:
Communicate HSQE policies and procedures to employees.
Assist in organizing and delivering training sessions on HSQE topics.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience.
Familiarity with HSQE management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001) is preferred.
