Cost Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, estimates, and cost plans for mechanical services projects.
Tendering: Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documents, evaluating subcontractor quotations, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Valuations: Prepare and submit monthly valuations, including variations and final accounts.
Contract Management: Review and negotiate contract terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Risk Assessment: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks in collaboration with the project management team.
Procurement: Oversee the procurement of mechanical materials, equipment, and subcontractor services in line with project budgets and timelines.
Reporting: Provide regular financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis to senior management.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project delivery aligns with budgetary and contractual requirements.
Key Requirements
Educational Background: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on mechanical services or MEP projects.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with mechanical engineering systems and their applications in construction projects.
Software Proficiency: Experience using quantity surveying and project management software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Flexibility: Willingness to work in a hybrid model with travel to Galway or Cork as required.
