Position: Junior Quantity Surveyor

Reports To: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Role Overview As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will support the Senior Quantity Surveyor and project management team in the fiscal and contractual management of construction activities. You will ensure that all financial aspects of the project are managed efficiently while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities - Cost Management: Assist in preparing and updating project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.
- Procurement: Support the procurement process, including preparing tender documentation, evaluating bids, and assisting in the selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Contract Administration: Help administer contracts, including monitoring compliance, managing variations, and resolving disputes.
- Measurement & Valuation: Conduct accurate measurements and valuations for works completed on-site, ensuring timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Reporting: Prepare regular cost reports and financial updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial and contractual risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including engineers, architects, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant standards, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills - Educational Background: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred, but recent graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
