Quality Manager to join our clients Team on a 12 month contract, working in a modular homes manufacturer in Co Cavan. (Hybrid)
The business of our client is the design, manufacture and installation of 3d volumetric buildings using light gauge steel. Additional products are offered to customers that complement the core product lines, and the management continually looks to develop and improve both the core products and the service offering provided to the market.
Your mission - In your new role you will be given the opportunity to work on an exciting portfolio of projects of all sizes across mainly the residential sector.
- Working alongside a talented team, you will be involved in a variety of projects at planning, design into detailed design, tender and construction stages.
- Responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of the Quality Management System within the business; which supports current (EN 1090 and NSAI Agrement Certification) and future certifications.
- Carry out regular audits of the site and and issue audit reports to the Senior Management Team.
- Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance.
- Maintain and Develop SOP’s in line with the business processes.
- Ensure SOP’s, processes and guidelines are followed at all times.
- Ownership of the CAPA Log for the Business.
- Manage Internal and External Audits associated with the Quality Management System.
- Act as a key communicator ensuring that all information is appropriately communicated both through the various teams and upwards to management as appropriate.
- Develop and instil recognition of a Quality culture across management teams and operations team.
- Manage BCAR for all projects and completion of reports.
- Manage and oversee BIM 360, which includes maintaining and developing check sheets and photographic evidence for Factory Production and Sites.
- Manage the Production of Home Owner Manuals for completed units where required.
- Able to communicate well with colleagues, engineers, line manager. Raising any concerns/queries they may have in the right way.
- Able to adapt to changing situations in a calm and rational manner and be proactive in finding solutions wherever necessary.
- Adhering to company policies on safety, environmental and quality standards.
Who are we looking for? - The successful candidate will be a qualified Quality Engineer, having gained your qualification from a recognised institute.
- You will have ideally 3 plus years' post graduate experience.
- Ability to manage QA/QC policies and procedures on multiple simultaneous projects.
- Have a good working knowledge of industry standards and building regulations.
- A passion for quality and continuous improvement with a focus on practical delivery.
- Efficient user of office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc)
- Autodesk BIM 360 experience essential.
- Relevant working experience in Modern Methods of Construction, preferably Light Gauge Steel.
- Experience working in the residential sector is an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent technical ability demonstrated through previous projects.
- You will have excellent communication skills and be a skilled collaborator.
