Description I have a client who are a leading contractor in Ireland on the lookout for A Junior Site Engineer in the Galway area.
You will be working within a well-established team on a prestigious project, and will be involved from the start of the project. Requirements: - Diploma/Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- 2+ years’ experience (preferably with a main contractor).
- Strong setting out experience – Total Station, Dumpy level, Laser level use.
- Proficient in use of CAD.
- Building experience - Commercial/Industrial/Fitout.
- Building services experience an advantage.
- Punctual, Motivated, Team Player, Strong Communication Skills.
Job Responsibilities: - Support Site Manager/Project Manager with day-to-day functions onsite.
- Liaise with the design team on construction issues including management of RFI and submittal processes.
- Manage the effective control and flow of all technical information required on the project.
- Implement, monitor and control of health and safety standards on site.
- Carry out site inductions as required.
- Manage subcontractors / general workforce on site.
- Issue requisitions for materials & plant to our purchasing department.
- Maintain the site diary / daily log activities.
- Monitor and control quality / work standards on site.
- Management of BCAR processes – Inspection closures, Ancillary Certs, Material certs.
- Manage concrete quality, taking cubes / slump tests on site & recording results
- Setting out lines and levels as required.
