Job Description: Junior Quantity Surveyor
Location: West of Ireland (Roles available in North and Southwest regions)
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for projects.
- Support the procurement process, including sourcing and evaluating suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist in the preparation and review of tender documents, contracts, and cost reports.
- Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with budgets and timelines.
- Perform site visits to assess work progress and verify measurements.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks related to cost and contracts.
- Maintain accurate records of all project-related costs and documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide administrative support to senior quantity surveyors as needed.
Qualifications and Skills: - A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Some experience (e.g., internship, placement, or entry-level role) in construction or quantity surveying is an advantage.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); familiarity with cost management software is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
