We are hiring for a Health & Safety officer for our client in Civil Engineering.
Currently they have projects in Shannon until Summer with works then afterwards across Ireland including Longford, Tipperary, Galway, Mayo & Dublin
The candidate will be based on 1 site at a time 5 days a week. Accommodation can be provided for works outside commutable ranges.
The role will entail:
- Ensuring effective implementation of company H&S policies and procedures in the company offices & on projects.
- Carrying out regular health and safety inspections.
- Providing support and advice to staff, site supervisors and site operatives.
- Inspecting documents and records relating to safety.
- Reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
- Communicating safety issues with the project team and other stakeholders.
- Conducting onsite training, briefings and toolbox talks.
- Liaising with client teams for all safety matters.
- Managing our internal management system.
- Preparing the company for various accreditation audits.
The Candidate:
- Must hold a third level health & safety qualification.
- Must have good oral and written communication capabilities.
- Must have a full driving license.
