We are currently seeking a Safety Officer for a full-time permanent position in the Munster region for a Civil Engineering Client.
The role will entail: - Ensuring effective implementation of company H&S policies and procedures in the company offices & on projects.
- Carrying out regular health and safety inspections.
- Providing support and advice to staff, site supervisors and site operatives.
- Inspecting documents and records relating to safety.
- Reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
- Communicating safety issues with the project team and other stakeholders.
- Conducting onsite training, briefings and toolbox talks.
- Liaising with company client teams for all safety matters.
- Managing our internal management system.
- Preparing the company for various accreditation audits.
- The Candidate:
- Must hold a third level health & safety qualification.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in H&S supervision in the construction industry
- Preferably will have 3+ years in the civil engineering sector.
- Must have good oral and written communication capabilities.
- Must have a full driving license.
