What's the Opportunity?
We have a number of exciting projects due to start in the coming months, and we are seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join our team and assist us in ensuring we fulfil our promise to plan, communicate and deliver projects of the highest standard with an emphasis on safety, sustainability and quality.  
 
Reporting to:
EHS Manager
 
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS legislation in consultation with the H&S Manager 
  • Work with the EHS team to ensure company compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018
  • Preparation of Job Specific Safety Plans
  • Notifications (AF2) to HSA
  • Preparation of RAMS
  • Work Permit Applications
  • Site Visits / Inspections / Audits
  • Approval of subcontractor RAMS
  • Subcontractor Safety Reviews
  • Induction Talks
  • Toolbox Talks
  • Employee Safety Training Reviews
  • Attendance at and reporting at site meetings where relevant
  • Preparation/compilation of various elements of Pre-Qualification packages
  • Other duties/projects as required

Skills / Experience / Qualifications Required
  • A third Level Degree in Environmental / Health and Safety is preferable but not essential
  • Minimum 3 years experience in H&S in Construction, ideally with a Main Contractor  
  • Excellent verbal and written English with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the Company
  • Have a high level of competency and accuracy in writing and maintaining clear and professional documentation
  • Previous experience with Procore and iAuditor is an advantage
  • Possess strong planning, organisational and teamwork skills
  • Experience working in live environments, such as educational facilities, beneficial 
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, staff and subcontractors
  • A strong commitment to promoting a culture of Safety and continuous improvement throughout the organisation
  • Should be honest, flexible, hardworking, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • The role would suit an enthusiastic, hardworking, hands-on and motivated individual

Projects are located mainly across Leinster, and our Head Office is in Co. Meath
