We are seeking a suitable candidate for the role of Health & Safety Advisor for the company which is a site-based position.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional support and advice to the Site Management Teams and Staff on Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality matters.
- Ensure compliance with site H&S rules and relevant H&S Acts and Regulations
- Identify areas or activities at risk, provide and implement measures to remove or control the risk
- Identify initiatives to improve performance and assist in addressing areas of poor performance through active and collaborative approaches.
- Report to the Project Manager
- Investigate incidents, accidents and near-misses and record data for monitoring trends and statistics.
- Ensure staff training records are valid and in date
- Ensure plant and equipment certification is in date
- Induct new staff and ensure they have the required training
- Conduct weekly toolbox talks
- Attend weekly/daily meeting with the client or contractor
- Carry out weekly audits / site safety inspections and communicate the issues identified to the relevant parties
- Asist/organise weekly safety management meetings
- Take measures when dealing with non-compliances regarding H&S as per disciplinary procedure
- Record weekly documentation
- Liaise with management team on incentives for positive reinforcement
Job Requirements.
- Qualification: Diploma/Degree/Certificate in Health & Safety / Occupational H&S
- Experience with relevant Health, Safety and Environmental standards
- 2+ Years’ experience in a similar role - civils experience an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.
- Full driving licence.
- Computer Skills, using Microsoft office,
