We are hiring for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our clients sales and marketing team.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximising all sales opportunities with particular focus on the corporate, meetings and events and group segments (and other segments as required). This is a great opportunity for an experienced Sales Executive/Coordinator looking to progress to the next stage of their career.
  
A key part of this role will be assisting in the proactive management of existing clients to ensure their continued satisfaction and custom, as well as building new client relationships to gain new business in existing and new target markets.
  
Key role responsibilities:
  • Identify new leads and sales opportunities for the hotel
  • Undertake weekly proactive sales calls/activities with clients as per agreed KPIs
  • Promote and generate new business for transient corporate, group and meetings & events segments and other segments as required
  • Organise and conduct site inspections and FAM trips
  • Represent the hotel at networking events and trade fairs
  • Database management with focus on growing & segmenting contacts for better communication
  • Competitor analysis updates and reviews
  • Maintain the highest level of communication internally and externally in line with the five-star hotel brand standards
  • Assist with managing the content of the hotel’s website and social media platforms in relation to the aforementioned segments corporate, group, meetings and events (and other segments as required)
  • Ensure that all promotional material is current, effective and supports any new sales and marketing promotions
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience in a Sales or Business Development Executive role, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
  
Must also be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience in dealing with corporate and MICE markets locally, nationally, and internationally
  • Experience in lead generation and or creating successful sales pitches
  • Target focused and enjoys a challenging & fun, never boring work dynamic
  • Good communicator who enjoys meeting with new people and embracing new opportunities
  • Creative thinker who is a problem solver not creator
  • Self-motivator, organised, who can work independently but with clear direction from the senior management team.
  • A proven track record in group and event conversion, as well as achieving sales targets.
  • This role will involve travel; candidates must have access to a car for work & hold a full, clean drivers licence and be willing to travel overseas from time to time
